Cheyann's Snow Day Recount

A White Blanket of Snow

Sprinting out of the car and running to the field I stopped in amazement. On a chilly cold Monday morning snow was trickling from above. Laughing, talking and the crunching sound of people walking on top of the white puffy snow was all I could hear. ‘’Ouch, oah that’s cold!’’I affirmed, as Jonny threw a delicate snowball at me. Playing away I whispered to myself ‘’I can’t even see the moist grass!’’
Jumping on top of a mountain high snowball I heard ‘’Look out!’’ from Georgina as a stampede of Room One boys headed straight towards me with hundreds of snowballs placed in their hands, the snowballs were as big as netballs. Sprinting away as fast as my legs could carry me through the thick snow; I kept tripping up over my Mum’s big wide gumboots.
Bang boom bong was the sound of white mushy snowballs striking me on my back ’’I surrender!’’ I shouted as loud as a deep drum.
“Yes!’’ all the boys declared together.
Bring bring! Oh man time to get warm and go inside for school work I thought to myself. What an amusing cold snowy Monday morning!
