Xavier's Snow Poem using similes

Snow

Oh snow you are so bright like when someone gets a bright idea.
You are as soft as a silky cloud.
Snow you are as pretty and bright as a beautiful flower.
Oh snow you fill joy to everyone’s faces.
Snow you as cold as a really heavy frost.

Tap, tap! I rolled over to the other side of my bed just to see Greg tapping on my door. “What?” I groaned.
“Look out your window and you’ll see what.”I jumped out of still thinking it was about 5 in the morning when I gasped and just about fainted at the sight I saw. White, white was all I could see, white grass, white trees, everything was white. I felt really happy, I was wide awake! I stopped “Oh I haven’t seen this sight in awhile!” But at that moment I ran outside to see Mum with my lamb, Minti. I was in my PJ’s and bare feet when I jumped onto the icy, cold grass. “That just felt like I stood on spiky glass.”Crunch, crunch, crunch. “Oh that’s cold, my toes are frozen.” but I had to get my lamb quick. Like a lightning bolt I snatched her from Mum and put her by the fire, gave Minti some milk then got dressed and outside to start making a snowman, making snowballs and throwing them at the house, I really could not wait to get to school and throw snowballs there.

Snow

Snow you are as powdery as flour
You bring smiles to everyone’s faces
Snow is as white as a little lamb
You make our hearts pound with happiness as we look at you.
Oh snow you cover the ground like a spreaded sheet of paper.
Snow crunches like metal stones
Snow is like a fluffy and puffy cloud
Snow you are the joy of winter.

Snowy

Whir who whirr wing ahh morning already .Snore snore if you were wondering why I faked snoring it was because I saw Dad and he would make me do the dishes from last night we had B.K.
“You who wakey wakey.”
“Ohh why?”
“Mum just rung up its snowing really badly will not that bad.” “Come on we are going there right now.”
“Okay okay I’ll get up.”
Vriiiiim piiits Vriiiiim as slow as a snail we drove to Mum’s house. We were going slowly because there could have been ice on the road. Beep, beep we saw mum wiping all of the soft snow of her car windows. When I got out of Dad’s car I grabbed some snow and I threw it at Dad’s back. Dad roared with pain because I made the snow ball super hard.
“He he he Dad.”
“Ahh you got me. Let’s make a snow man.”
He he he.

A Snowy Surprise!

Lying in bed I heard Dad clomping up the stairs. I played dead but I still couldn’t resist opening my eyes when Dad said “Mills look outside!” My eyes flew open and before me was a white blanket of snow that covered as far as the eye could see. No wonder it was so cold I thought to myself.
“Ahh!” Breakfast was over and our bags were packed. The horses were happily trotting from their ‘victory’ of getting together, thanks for holding Gidget Georgina. My sister, my brother and I were having a snowball fight. John was screaming like a girl. Vroom, vroom! “Let’s throw snowballs at Dad’s truck!” We did and I got a big hunk of snow on Dad’s windscreen. “School now!” he announced angrily. “Ohhhh!” we chorused simultaneously.
Crunch, crunch. Walking inside the school gates I headed into school as normal when out came Xavier and Jonny with a welcome party for me: throwing snowballs at me and brrr it was cold!!
Mr Osmond let us play in the snow until quarter to ten; this was partly because he wanted photos of us playing in the snow. We headed back inside when who do you suppose came? The Wanganui Chronicle doing a report on the snow in Fordell. Four boys went out to play in the snow again so the Chronicle could get a few photos.
Bring, bring. Morning tea time, more snow play! For all of the twenty minutes of playtime I threw snowballs at a countless amount of people. Bring, bring. Back to class we all trudged, disappointed that morning tea was over. Seeing our solemn faces Mr Osmond said that if we worked well for about an hour he would take us out in the snow again for twenty minutes. A cry of joy leapt from our mouths. We were to go out in the snow again until lunch time!
There were many bonus’s of the snow coming to Fordell. Hardly doing any schoolwork was one of them. We are hoping that snow comes again someday!

Imoden's Snow Poem using similes.

Snow

Snow you feel as silky as a little lamb.
Snow you are as white as the pale clouds hanging from the sky.
Oh snow you sink into the long green grass like a sneaky snake.
Snow you crunch like a mountain of cornflakes.
Snow you spread over our school like the clouds have fallen from above.
Snow you taste like ice-cubes frozen stiff.
Snow you cover the trees with your white tears bucketing down.
Oh snow, so many delightful smiles you bring to our faces.
Snow you pour down crackling like a squeaky door.
Snow as the sun rises you fade away like smudged crayon, we do hope you visit us again.

Cheyann's Snow Poem using similes

Snow.

Snow is as soft and puffy as a cloud,
White snow is as white as a lamb,
You are as quite as a mouse when you fall from above,
Oh snow you are as cold as Antarctica,
Special smiles come to children’s faces as you arrive,
You trickle down from the blue sky as fast as a leopard,
Snow you are as pretty as a sparkling diamond,
You are as fun as a carnival rides that bring joy to everyone.

A White Blanket of Snow

Sprinting out of the car and running to the field I stopped in amazement. On a chilly cold Monday morning snow was trickling from above. Laughing, talking and the crunching sound of people walking on top of the white puffy snow was all I could hear. ‘’Ouch, oah that’s cold!’’I affirmed, as Jonny threw a delicate snowball at me. Playing away I whispered to myself ‘’I can’t even see the moist grass!’’
Jumping on top of a mountain high snowball I heard ‘’Look out!’’ from Georgina as a stampede of Room One boys headed straight towards me with hundreds of snowballs placed in their hands, the snowballs were as big as netballs. Sprinting away as fast as my legs could carry me through the thick snow; I kept tripping up over my Mum’s big wide gumboots.
Bang boom bong was the sound of white mushy snowballs striking me on my back ’’I surrender!’’ I shouted as loud as a deep drum.
“Yes!’’ all the boys declared together.
Bring bring! Oh man time to get warm and go inside for school work I thought to myself. What an amusing cold snowy Monday morning!
