Xavier's Snow Poem using similes

Snow

Oh snow you are so bright like when someone gets a bright idea.
You are as soft as a silky cloud.
Snow you are as pretty and bright as a beautiful flower.
Oh snow you fill joy to everyone’s faces.
Snow you as cold as a really heavy frost.

Nikita's Snow Day Recount

Tap, tap! I rolled over to the other side of my bed just to see Greg tapping on my door. “What?” I groaned.
“Look out your window and you’ll see what.”I jumped out of still thinking it was about 5 in the morning when I gasped and just about fainted at the sight I saw. White, white was all I could see, white grass, white trees, everything was white. I felt really happy, I was wide awake! I stopped “Oh I haven’t seen this sight in awhile!” But at that moment I ran outside to see Mum with my lamb, Minti. I was in my PJ’s and bare feet when I jumped onto the icy, cold grass. “That just felt like I stood on spiky glass.”Crunch, crunch, crunch. “Oh that’s cold, my toes are frozen.” but I had to get my lamb quick. Like a lightning bolt I snatched her from Mum and put her by the fire, gave Minti some milk then got dressed and outside to start making a snowman, making snowballs and throwing them at the house, I really could not wait to get to school and throw snowballs there.

Nikita's Snow Poem using Similes

Snow

Snow you are as powdery as flour
You bring smiles to everyone’s faces
Snow is as white as a little lamb
You make our hearts pound with happiness as we look at you.
Oh snow you cover the ground like a spreaded sheet of paper.
Snow crunches like metal stones
Snow is like a fluffy and puffy cloud
Snow you are the joy of winter.
